Private walks only. No group walks. Every walk is shaped around your dog’s needs that day.
Our enrichment walks are built around more than exercise
Each walk gives your dog space to sniff, move, explore, observe, and process the world in a way that feels natural to them.
The goal is a walk that feels good in their body and brain, so they can come home more fulfilled, more settled, and better supported through the rest of their day.
-
Sniffing is not a delay in the walk. It is part of the walk. Dogs use their noses to gather information, decompress, and make sense of their environment. Giving them time to sniff helps support their nervous system, lower pressure, and make the walk more mentally fulfilling.
-
Sometimes watching is the enrichment. If your dog notices birds, people, traffic, or dogs playing from a comfortable distance, we may pause and let them observe. This gives them time to gather information without being pushed to interact, which can help them feel more settled and secure.
-
Exploring builds confidence. That might look like stepping onto a log, moving through grass, climbing onto a low surface, or investigating something interesting off the path. These small choices help dogs use their body, solve problems, and feel more capable in their environment.
-
Your dog is always communicating. Through posture, pace, tension, scanning, sniffing, and movement, they tell us how they are feeling. We pay attention to those signals so we can adjust the walk in real time, whether that means slowing down, creating space, changing direction, or giving them time to settle.
-
We usually have a loose route in mind, but we are not attached to it. If your dog wants to follow a scent, pause in a quiet spot, or choose a different direction, we make space for that when it is safe. The goal is not to complete a route. The goal is to give your dog a walk that feels good for them.
-
Whenever it is safe, we use clear verbal cues and gentle encouragement instead of relying on leash pressure. This helps your dog understand what we are asking without feeling dragged or forced. Over time, that kind of communication builds trust and makes the walk feel more cooperative.

Frequently asked questions
-
Yes. Each walk is adjusted to your dog’s comfort level. We choose routes and pacing that help them stay under threshold, giving them space to observe and move without feeling overwhelmed.
-
It is not about distance or speed. We focus on how your dog experiences the walk, giving them time to sniff, explore, and engage in a way that supports their overall well-being.
-
Yes. We support what you are already working on and help keep things consistent. Our walks are designed to complement training, not replace it.
-
We recommend a well-fitted harness. We come prepared with longline, treats, waste bags, and a basic first aid kit.
-
Walks happen in and around your neighbourhood. Routes are chosen based on what best supports your dog, whether that is quieter streets, open space, or more active areas.
We’re also happy to travel to a local park or trail!
-
Your dog’s safety comes first. In conditions like extreme heat, smoke, or ice, we may cancel or adjust the walk. You will always be kept informed.
